ZIGZAG Palazzo Vecchio - EN app for iPhone and iPad

ZIGZAG Art tour is a multimedia project, devised by Sergio Risaliti and developed by DUva Worshop, that aims to facilitate the rediscovery of the historical-artistic patrimony of Florence by means of unusual itineraries, far from the flow of mass tourism, thereby combining a high-quality learning experience with immediate access.

The first objective is to identify masterpieces of the past that can once again be seen as emblematic and universal through a presentation that is innovative in terms of both content and media. Indeed, to immerse oneself effectively in a multicultural civilisation requires not only an awareness of the history of its art, but also of the socio-cultural environment of the city and of the particular characteristics that indentified it.

On the occassion of Florens 2010, ZIGZAG relates Palazzo Vecchio, the location for the main events of this first International Week of Cultural and Environmental Treasures.

This multimedia guide includes 15 listening points, with relative illustrations, a zoomable and interactive map to identify the positions of the listening points inside Palazzo Vecchio, and an integrated search motor to quickly locate points of interest.

This application is currently available for free in Italian and English. The Spanish, French and German versions will be available shortly.

The product is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch, requiring 3.0 or later versions.
